In the previous post, I have introduced some main characters in Tales of Symphonia, a Japanese role—playing game designed by Kosuke Fujishima. The characters in it are active and vivid, and all of them leave deep impressions on the reader. Here I will say something about a lovable girl-Marta Luald.
Marta Luald is the daughter of Brute the leader of the organization known as Vanguard. She lost her mother during the Great Kharlan Tree’s rampage in Palmacosta and blames Colette for her death. During the Blood Purge, she was saved by Ratatosk and is the reason of her initial affection towards Emil. Ratatosk attached a fake Ratatosk core on her forehead to draw his enemies’ attention away from him and she is accompanied by Tenebrae since then. Soon after, Marta defects from the Vanguard upon learning of their plans on using Ratatosk’s core to destroy Tethe’alla. She is pursued by the Vanguard and is reunited with Ratatosk, now under the Emil personality, during her flight. Together, the three travel around the world to gather Centurions’ cores to revive Ratatosk. She ranked on the fourth Tales character popularity polls.
As Marta Luald is very popular, many cosplay fans prefer act as her, and her cosplay costume is also very popular. The costume above is customized, which includes overcoat, trousers, underwear and others.
